WHAT IS "FAITH PROMISE" GIVING?

Here at Southside Baptist we call giving to the cause of world missions “Faith Promise Giving,” because it is an accurate description of what we are called to do. Let’s work our way back in order to move forward in our giving to the Great Commission.

GIVING

Faith Promise Giving is just that, GIVING financially to world missions. We give generously, joyfully, and sacrificially because Christ first gave Himself for us. His grace enables us to give our hearts back to Him as obedient followers. Jesus said that where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Our giving follows our hearts. Give your heart to Jesus and His global mission and your treasure, time, talent, and testimony will follow

PROMISE

Faith Promise Giving is simply a

PROMISE to give a prayerfully chosen amount of money on a consistent basis over and above your tithe. It is a commitment we personally make to the Lord Jesus Christ

and His local church. At Southside Baptist,

it is a voluntary commitment to give a certain amount on a consistent basis for the coming year to plant, establish, and multiply local churches all around

the world.

FAITH

Faith Promise Giving - like everything in the Christian life - requires FAITH in order to be pleasing to God. The Bible says that without faith it is impossible to please God and whatever does not originate from faith is sin. An obedient faith is what pleases God and makes our giving acceptable in His sight. Such faith trusts God to do His part in providing and commits to doing our part in giving eagerly, generously, and faithfully.

Faith Promise Giving is simply one way to glorify God by giving to world missions over and above our tithe

through our local church. By doing so, we partner with God and His missionaries in making Jesus known in

Jerusalem, Judea, and the uttermost parts of the world.

Over the past three decades, Southside Baptist Ministries, Inc. has been fully committed to spreading the good news of Jesus Christ to every nation. Since our inception, SBMI has maintained a focus and heart for the world-wide work of God. Southside Baptist currently supports more than 30 missionaries who are taking the gospel of Christ throughout the world. Please take some time to meet the amazing missionaries we currently support.
