Southside Baptist Ministries is a family! The various Lifestage classes are smaller families within that family. Because you are important to God, it is important to us that you find the class that is your perfect fit. By enrolling, you will connect with others like yourself for Bible studies, friendships, and activities. So regardless of your age or background, there is a class for you, and every class has a seat available and waiting for you!
TEENS(ages 13-19)
REAL ANSWERS...
In a world of lies - what's really true? From the Bible, you can get answers for every question and problem in life, and you can find out that God really is on your side! He wants to help you every day and wants you to know Him personally.
REAL FUN...
Some people think Christians can't have fun! The fact is, we have more fun than anyone else!! The difference is, this is the kind of fun that won't get you drunk, high, pregnant, infected, or arrested. It's the kind of fun you can have with a clear conscience - the kind that creates good memories, hilarious moments, and awesome friendships.
REAL FRIENDS...
Everyone wants good friends - the kind of friends who will be there for you when you really need them. The teen lifestage group is made up of teens from middle and high schools throughout the Richmond tri-city area. The common bond is that we all want to know God personally and live out His purposes in our lives. If you're tired of pretending to be someone so that other people will accept you… quit playing the game. Quit risking your future for someone else's approval.
COLLEGE & CAREER SINGLES
(ages 20-29)
The first years out of high school are challenging times of transition. The C&C class is designed to help students navigate this life-transition, with clarity through biblical direction. The lifestage classes are fun and engaging. The teaching focuses on Bible principles that give insight into making good decisions, and setting the right direction for life. Monthly activities provide a time to hang out with friends and find some fun and encouragement. Group leaders have a passion for training and mentoring single adults to live for Christ on purpose.
ADULT SINGLES(ages 30+)
Peer pressure is strong. Singles have challenges and struggles that can only be answered from God's Word. Singles need direction and wisdom. You need friends that help and strengthen you along the way. You need influences that encourage purity rather than robbing it. All of this and more can be found in the singles' ministries at SBM. With weekly classes and quarterly activities, the single adults at SBM are growing together as believers in Christ. Everybody needs some help and encouragement.
GOLDEN AGERS(ages 55+)
Through the Golden Agers lifestage at SBCS, seniors will find meaningful friendships, enjoyable activities, and a network of care where you can continue to grow in your faith. Seniors leanr that Godly friendships do not replace friendship with God. Daily spiritual development is a lifelong process, one that does not end at retirement. The Bible says it very plainly in James 4:8, "Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you." Successful aging includes a vibrant faith in God's ability to help us through life. After all, if you are a Christian, what does "age" mean to a person who is going to live forever?
COUPLES
Building a strong marriage doesn't happen by accident or default. Even as a well-built house must first have carefully designed blueprints, a strong foundation, and a competent builder. Even so, a strong marriage can only be the product of the blueprint of the Bible, the foundation of Jesus Christ, and the daily guiding hand of God's Holy Spirit. The classes and activities of the couples lifestage groups will help to build and strengthen your marriage, and will teach the proven Bible principles for making your marriage a life-long and joyful relationship.

There are of classes for every stage of your marriage, whether you are a young couple with your first child on the way or you just sent your youngest child off to college. Regular get-togethers give you the chance to have some fun with a new circle of friends.
